The NCAEE Region 3 Conference includes opportunities for educators to: learn about funding resources for classroom projects, attend workshops presented by teachers for teachers, celebrate teaching with a Region 3 teacher of the year, and attend a Q&A panel discussion with NCDPI consultants.

Laura Candler presents "DonorsChoose -- A Jackpot of Classroom Funding!"
Laura Candler is the current NCAEE President and a former 5th grade teacher from Fayetteville, North Carolina. She has presented educational workshops to teachers around the country for over 20 years. Laura will share a simple, step-by-step process for writing proposals for DonorsChoose to obtain funding for your classroom projects.
Rene' Herrick presents "M&Ms -- Miracle Moments: The Value of Teaching Can Be Found in the Sweetness of Our Daily M&Ms"
Rene' Herrick is a National Board-Certified Teacher, a 2013-2014 Kenan Fellow, and 2010 NC Regional Teacher of the Year. She currently serves as a Math Coach at Fuquay-Varina Elementary School. Rene' will inspire you to identify your Miracle Moments and introduce you to one of hers.
