PERSHING WINS BEST OF SHOW

& MERRIL LYNCH/SULLIVAN WINS FIRST RUNNER-UP at 2014 GRAMERCY STRATEGY AWARDS

Winners Announced: Gramercy Institute Financial Marketing Strategy Awards

New York City. On Thursday, June 26, Gramercy Institute held its twelfth annual Gramercy Institute Financial Marketing Strategy Awards. Over 140 senior financial marketers, agency executives, media leaders and others gathered together to celebrate this year’s winners and to participate in Gramercy Institute’s forum, “Here & Now: The Power of Strategy in Financial Marketing.”

Two big winners were announced at the close of the forum: Merrill Lynch (along with agency, Sullivan) won “Best of Show-First Runner Up.”  The very top honor (Best of Show) went to Pershing for its “Search” strategy.

During the course of the morning a total of twenty-seven financial marketing teams, hailing from the world’s top financial, marketing and media brands, claimed their trophies.  Including: Aberdeen Asset Management. AIG, Blackrock & iShares, BMO, BMO Capital Markets, Cake, Citi, Citibank, Columbia Management, Dean Media Group, Duff & Phelps, Eaton Vance, Franklin Templeton, Havas Worldwide, HNW, Interac, Lincoln Financial, Macquarie, Media Experts, Merrill Lynch, Mobext, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, Nationwide Financial, OppenheimerFunds, Partners+ simons, Pershing, Razorfish, Russell Indexes, Starcom, State Street Global Advisors, Sullivan, TD Bank, United Healthcare, US Trust, Wells Fargo Advisors, Wilde Agency and Yext.

“Today in financial services marketing, strategy is everything,” says Bill Wreaks, Chief Executive Officer of the NYC-based Gramercy Institute. “In this accountability-driven era,  every marketing dollar counts—not only to those in marketing, but to all brand stakeholders and stockholders. In short, marketing strategy can make (or break) a financial brand.  Now in its 12th year, this important award has answered the high calling of honoring strategic excellence in financial marketing.”

On behalf of this year’s Gramercy Strategy Judges (see roster below), The Gramercy Institute is proud to announce the winners of the 2014 Gramercy Institute Financial Marketing Strategy Awards.
