Her professional experience includes working on global open source online legal information management systems, building a new web team from scratch in a federal Canadian government regulatory agency and successfully transitioning into high level management consulting on transformational national and international projects.  She founded a working group for social media within the federal Canadian government and remain a trusted advisor for various digital initiatives involving information management, information technology, marketing and communications.

In her capacity as an adept business strategist and consultant, Chamika is currently the Executive Director for the International Women’s Forum of Canada and a senior consultant on the pioneering Protégé Project career sponsorship program with Canadian Women in Communications and Technology. As the founder and CEO of Chamika.com, she is a success coach to immigrants who are ready to follow their desires instead of what is expected of them. Her coaching clients include aspiring entrepreneurs, highly talented creative professionals and future leaders in the workplace. She is a catalyst for change who works with clients to leverage their unique strengths of being rooted in two different places and cultures to be able to lead and succeed with executive presence, online and off.

Chamika is fully bilingual (English/French), holds a Bachelor’s degree in French Literature, a Master’s degree in English Literature and a professional business management certificate.  She is a well-travelled nomad who has lived in Edmonton, Toulouse and Montreal with extended visits throughout the US and western Europe. She is currently based in Ottawa and a frequent visitor to Colombo, Sri Lanka. She lives mainly in digital space and can be found @chamika on Twitter and on www.chamika.com
