The Senior GEMS Workshop Series consists of a variety of workshop topics related to dementia and the Senior GemsŪ program. They are written and presented in a way to provide knowledge and working skill sets particular for that care setting. Each session is designed to build on current knowledge of the disease and educate on real strategies to provide effective care.

The goal of the Senior Helper’s Workshop series is to better educate our community and to turn can’t into can by empowering the community through education that will change how we care for those with dementia.  Each workshop is interactive by encouraging questions and implementing short activities to provide a fun learning environment.

The Workshops were designed by Teepa Snow, who has over 30yrs experience. You will learn about the different scales and/or steps that Teepa researched and finally designed the “GEMS” program using the Allen Cognitive Theory.
