Upstate Professional Planners Meeting -- Tuesday, June 17 

We will be holding the second Upstate Professional Planners Meeting of 2014 on Tuesday, June 17th from 9:00am-11:00am with a light breakfast at Pelham Medical Center.

This meeting will examine the ongoing regional food system strategic planning initiative led by Scott Park of Greenville County. Scott will give us an overview of the project, including an update on the proposed Upstate Food Hub,  and touch on the connections between planning, healthy eating, and active living as outlined in DHEC's SC Health +Planning Toolkit.

With the help of Deandra Reasonover-Winjobi, Out of School Time Specialist with LiveWell Greenville, we will also discuss food systems and regionalism.

A portion of the morning will be interactive as we explore the existing food system components – and ways to build upon those – in attendees’ jurisdictions.
