Sovereign Health Culver City welcomes Dr. Elisabeth R. Crim
Presenting on "Transference, Counter-Transference, and Attachment: A Mind-Body-Spirit Understanding"
Course Abstract:
The ultimate good and safe treatment of a client or patient requires the therapist to have awareness of the underlying processes that are at play in the therapeutic relationship. Understanding and addressing these processes, the attachment dynamics of transference and counter-transference, can yield more ethical, effective, and integrated mind-body-spirit treatment. It can deepen or enhance the therapeutic process, regardless of theoretical orientation.
Dr. Crim will explore: Transference as an unconscious mind-body-spirit organizing activity of the relational dynamics between therapist and client based in both the Intersubjective Approach to Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (Stolorow) and current neuropsychophysiological theories of relationship.
