Yarn Bombing 2014 

It's that time of year again... It's Yarn-Bombing season! For those of you who have never heard of it, now's your chance to learn and help! Yarn-bombing is an outdoor art exhibit that allows all of our fiber artists to participate and help add to the beauty of our finished "exhibit." Our fiber creations will be put into place the Friday evening before International Knit in Public Week begins on June 8.

We need your help! Using knitted, crocheted, or woven pieces of fabric, we will be covering our street-light poles, street-sign poles, benches, bike-racks and more. Help us have a successful yarn-bombing by knitting, crocheting, or weaving, bright, fun, unique pieces of fabric! We need lots of swatches in order for this to happen!

We need swatches that are 7" or 20" wide. These swatches can be in whatever stitch pattern, length, and color you choose! Bonus! No need to worry about gauge! Any guage works perfectly - whether it's 1 st/inch or 7 sts/inch - We appreciate all swatches we receive!

We ask that all swatches be at the store by June 5. For our out-of-towners, you are more than welcome to help us out and mail in your swatches!

Starting today (May 30), we will have a box of yarn here at the store to be used for the yarn-bombing. If you have any yarn that you would like to donate to the box, feel free to bring it in!
