The Slocum Foundation and Slocum Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine are pleased to partner with the University of Oregon's International Sports Science Symposium, LaneKids, PacificSource Health Plans, and the Neurospine Institute Foundation to host the Active Youth Consortium's Solution Revolution!
Early childhood physical literacy unlocks the potential for life-long enjoyment in physical activity and enhanced athletic performance. Kids who are physically fit enjoy greater academic achievement and higher life-time earning potential.
Who should attend? Parents, school administrators, teachers, coaches, athletic trainers, childhood education advocates and those interested in opportunities to increase physical activity among youth. Parents are encouraged to bring kids of any age to enjoy onsite physical activities, exhibitions and healthy snacks.
About the Solution Revolution Community Event
The Solution Revolution community event is on the Monday between the University of Oregon's inaugural International Sports Science Symposium and the 2014 IAAF World Junior Track and Field Championships. The aim of the community event is for participants to:
Adults and children will enjoy the community information tables and exhibits on the Law School lawn. Kids will take part in obstacle courses and demonstrations by Active Youth Consoritum members. Enjoy music and healthy snacks between activities.
