Procurement Liaison, PA Department of General Services, Bureau of Small Business Opportunities (BSBO), Harrisburg, PA

As the Procurement Liaison for the PA Department of General Services, Bureau of Small Business Opportunities (BSBO), Gayle Nuppnau is responsible for reviewing contracts and implementing the Small Diverse Business program. She is proactive in educating small business on state contracting policies and procedures by providing technical workshops, marketing, and verification assistance.

Director, Allegheny County Minority/Women/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Department
Ruth Byrd-Smith has overseen the certification of minority, women, and disadvantaged business enterprises, technical assistance programs, and the dissemination of information of contracting opportunities since her appointment in 2004. She uses her position to reach out to as many new and existing minority and women business owners as possible.
