Understanding how the brain, mind and body is affected by toxic stress and sculpted by responding to traumatic experiences is central to effective clinical practice.
Part I of the series discusses typical brain development and functioning, including affect regulation strategies, memory formation, and the threat responding. The most recent research on toxic stress will be highlighted and Julie will discuss which brain areas participate in responding to adversity and become “trauma-informed."
Join us for a warm breakfast and an opportunity to network with other behavioral health professionals from 8:00 - 9:00 am.
