Kevin Johnston, Capital Mall, General Manager
Kevin has 28 years of retail experience with Wal-Mart and Sears.
He managed 5 different Wal-Mart stores in 3 states, and 2 Sears stores in WA. He is currently the general manager for Capital Mall. He has lived in Olympia for the last 12 years. He has been married for 26 years to an awesome wife, and they have two awesome kids.
Tammie Hetrick, Vice President Retail Services, Washington Retail Association
Tammie has been with Washington Retail Association for 15 years and manage the services division. Her background is in workers' compensation and she has lived in Washington her entire life. She has been involved in retail in one aspect or the other since she was 5 years old, helping her parents with a horse trailer sales business. She currently serves on several advisory committees at the Department of Labor and Industries representing the interests of retail and is on the Board of the Society of Association Executives. She just completed her certification for the Institute of Organizational Management (IOM) through the US Chamber of Commerce and am working on her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
Tifanie Cook, Store Manager of Maurices
Tifanie has been in retail a little over six years. Maurices is her first retail job, starting out as a way to get through college. She studied Psychology and Sociology at Western Washington University which has been put to good use in retail. Tifanie quickly moved up within the company after four short months of working at Maurices and has held the Management position for over five and a half years. In addition to running a very successful store here in Olympia, WA, She has opened new stores throughout the entire company, all over the U.S. She continues to grow within Maurices, and is currently working on becoming a District Manager. The best part about her job is the people, customers and employees. She believes "the connections you make in retail goes deeper than just a number, you make long lasting impressions not only on your customers and employees, but your community as well".
