NAMI Oklahoma Leadership Institute

NAMI Oklahoma volunteers continue to empower individuals who have a mental illness and their families.  These leaders effectively demonstrate that the actions of one leader, multiplied by the actions of many, can re-shape a culture and change minds.  The accomplishments of any organization can be traced directly to the combined efforts of everyone involved.  We need more leaders across the state in order to successfully reach all Oklahomans who are affected by mental illness.  IT’S TIME!

It’s the role of the Oklahoma’s NAMI State Chapter to channel the effort into a guided direction. In order to cultivate new leadership, recognize existing leaders, and support all statewide affiliates, NAMI Oklahoma is hosting our Teacher and Presenter Training.  During the weekend, experienced individuals and family members will provide training for new teachers, support facilitators, and speakers.  If you would like to become a teacher, facilitator or speaker for one of the following NAMI programs, register today.  Program training will be available for the following:

• Connection (2 days) 
• Family-to-Family (3 days)
• Family Support Group (2 days)
• In Our Own Voice (2 days)
• NAMI Basics (2 days)
• Parents and Teachers as Allies (1 day)
• Peer to Peer (3 days)
