The Rev. Wayne Gustafson, D.Min. is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and a certified Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. He has been a parish pastor, prison chaplain, college psychology instructor, and pastoral counselor, integrating psychological and spiritual perspectives in all of his pastoral work. Dr. Gustafson is a graduate of Cornell University, and has a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry (Psychology and Clinical Studies) from Andover Newton Theological School. He and his family live in Ithaca. Dr. Gustafson has recently published a novel about Moses called, Community of Promise and he is presently working on a second novel called The Wisdom Weaver. Family Systems & Pastoral Leadership

This course uses Bowenian Family Systems theory and personal biographical material to explore the interface between "family of origin stories" and congregational functioning, laying the foundation for non-anxious leadership and pastoral care.
This course fulfills 20 hours toward the continuing education requirement for authorized ministers.
Saturdays: September 13, October 4, and October 18.

A non-refundable deposit of $25 must be received to process your registration. The balance of the course fee is due to the NY Conference by the second meeting of the class.
