The Teachings of Tibetan Buddhism and Long Life Ceremony for Mingyur Rinpoche

This event is dedicated to our teacher, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, who is currently on his wandering yogi-style retreat, and to all sentient beings.

Teachings

By Tibetan maters Khenpo Gyurmé, Khenpo Kunga, and by Dr. Richard Davidson

Teachings will cover foundational topics for beginning practitioners including Introduction to Meditation, The Four Noble Truths, and Seven Points Mind Training, as well as esoteric topics that are rarely presented in the West, from Mingyur Rinpoche's Treasure Book, an introduction to Bardo, and the nature of mind teaching, which is regarded as one of the most profound teachings in the Dzogchen tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Renowned neuroscientist Dr. Richard Davidson, from the University of Wisconsin, will present the latest research on The Science of Meditation.

Long Life Puja for Mingyur Rinpoche

Concurrent with the teaching, 10 lamas, including 3 Rinpoches, from around the world will join together to chant the long-life prayer from Mingyur Rinpoche’s Treasure Book. This Puja event will generate vast benefits for Mingyur Rinpoche’s long life, for his health and his enlightened activities to be free of obstacles, as well as for his students and all sentient beings.

Empowerment: The event concludes with a Long Life Empowerment from Mingyur Rinpoche’s Treasure Book, and bestowed by honored guest Gyaltso RInpoche.
