2014 Global Opportunities Fair

The Office of Study Abroad at Michigan State University is hosting the annual Global Opportunities Fair on October 22, 2014 at the MSU Union. This event aims to connect MSU students with vendors who offer global opportunities outside of study abroad, such as volunteering, teaching and interning abroad. The fair draws hundreds of students from various disciplines who want  to learn about ways in which they can work on a global scale. Different than our annual Study Abroad Fair, the Global Opportunities Fair is a time when students can explore non-academic travel opportunities or post-graduate experiences with an international focus.

Interested? Click on the “Register Now” icon below to reserve a table. Space is limited, so be sure to register your organization early if you’d like to participate.

We look forward to seeing you in October!

Important Information

Please note that Michigan State University will be sponsoring an internal study abroad fair in September. Because MSU sponsors over 300 programs in over 60 countries, we have restricted this earlier fair to only MSU units. Therefore, the fair to which we are inviting you will not include the promotion of study abroad offerings (i.e., full-time internships rather than those that are part of a study abroad program) that encompass opportunities listed below.

Focus of the Global Opportunities Fair:
  • Organizations offering work, internships, volunteering and teaching abroad
  • Organizations (government, NGOs, corporate) that offer international career positions
  • Not included in MSU Global Opps Fair:  Study abroad programs, graduate degree programs
Register below for the opportunity to meet with students who are interested in volunteering, teaching, internships, or short-term work abroad. Organizations representing internationally focused post-graduate experiences or careers, or those who offer funding for an international experiences, are also encouraged to attend.
