Economic Freedom: Charting a Path to Prosperity

Studies reveal that economic freedom correlates with higher economic growth, lower rates of poverty, higher life expectancy, lower infant mortality, less public corruption, improved health care, and political liberty.  The world has become more economically free in the last quarter century.  The average economic freedom score has increased by 20%.

In 2001 an estimated 2.7 billion people lived in moderate or extreme poverty.  Now fewer than 2 billion people live in moderate or extreme poverty.  The United Nations credits economic freedom for most of these gains. Yet the role of economic freedom is rarely understood.

This workshop is designed to help you to incorporate economic freedom into your classes. Each participant will receive:

  • A new laminated, poster-size Economic Freedom of the World Wall Map. ($30 value)
  • Seven complete lessons that teach about economic freedom.
  • A one-hour DVD, Economic Freedom in Action: Changing Lives, a PBS documentary produced by Free to Choose Media. ($25 value)
