Join Way to Grow’s young professionals group, IGNITE and Young Education Professionals-Twin Cities for a tour of North Minneapolis to learn more about the history of the area and education initiatives such as the Northside Achievement Zone. The tour will be a combination of walking and a chartered bus. Stops will include the Sumner Public Library, Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary, and more!
The tour will be lead by retired Patrick Henry teacher and pillar of the North Minneapolis Community, Susan Breedlove. Susan has documented the history and culture of the North Side and we’re thrilled to have her share her knowledge and passion.
Come ready to learn, ask questions and walk. Please plan to arrive early. Free on site parking is located on the west side of 2nd Street. Street parking is also available. Bus promptly departs at 6:00 and will return by 8:30. Space is limited.
Individual Ticket: $25
Ticket includes the cost of transportation, water, snacks, and a small donation to Way to Grow
