Layers of Light

A presentation of LED technology specifically as a tool for stage lighting. It contrasts the color-rendering capabilities of LEDs with traditional tungsten-halogen sources for skin tones, costumes, and scenic elements. Common LED additive color mixing methods are presented: Red, Green, Blue; Red, Green, Blue, Amber; and these are contrasted to more complete spectral methods achieved by adding Orange, Cyan and Indigo LEDs to the mix. Dimming and other control nuances specifically relating to stage lighting are discussed as well.

How to choose a Hearing Impaired/Translation System for your HOW.

Not everyone hears “the message” the same in your congregation, especially those who have difficulty hearing. Distance from the sound source to the listener or poor acoustics can reduce the listener’s ability to hear and understand the pastor’s message. Choosing the right assistive listening device for your facility can aid in hearing the word. This will be an overall discussion of the 3 major types of listening systems: Infrared, FM and Loop.

Nic will present an overview of the different types of loudspeaker formats that are commonly used for sound re-inforcement in House Of Worship. We will discuss the disadvantages and advantages of each format, to provide an insight of “the right tools for each job”. Considerations about how to properly drive different types of loudspeakers will also be considered.
