Drumming for Beginners & Beyond with John Tracy and Dean!
This course will give you all the tools you'll need to really enjoy yourself playing your drum. Our introduction to some rhythms of Brazil, Guinea, Mali, Senegal and Trinidad will allow us to experience the healing power of the drum and express our own voice. As you unleash your natural musical ability, you can experience joyous, ecstatic states of mind.
Plan on having a fun time learning the traditional rhythm for djembe, conga and ashiko drums. You can learn to play simply for your own enjoyment, or to play with other musicians. DrumConnection's team teaching approach provides some individualized instruction, and challenges and excites your senses. Bring your drum, an armless folding chair and water -- we'll be outdoors by the beautiful Charles River along Soldiers Field Road.
This is perfect for people with a little drumming experience or lots of drumming experience. I guess that about covers it :) Call us if you have questions.
