Whale Week 2014: 4th Annual Home Made Boat Race!
Monday July 28 at 5 pm on Town Beach, Provincetown

Use anything you can find to build a watercraft that will carry you and your team to the finish line! 

The legendary Jay Critchley will return as Master of Ceremonies the Boat Race again this year, as will judges Candice Collins-Boden from the Provincetown Chamber of Commerce, and Erin Atwood from the Provincetown Business Guild!

Registration is $50 per boat/team and prizes will be awarded based on ingenuity, aesthetics, costumes, and speed.  Participants will also be awarded bonus points for retrieving marine debris during the race, and there is a special prize for the team that raises the most money for the Center.  

This event is sponsored by Venture Athletics Water Sports, the Crown and Anchor, and J&E Fruit and Produce.

Whale Camp for Kids!
August 11 - 13, 9 am - 12:30 pm

A three-day summer camps for kids ages 8-12 to learn about the wonderful world of whales and the ocean.  Step inside a life size North Atlantic right whale, learn what it’s like to disentangle whales and turtles,  identify whales by their distinctive markings, create whale art and more. Camp culminates in a whale watch aboard the Dolphin Fleet.  Participation is limited and pre-registration is required.  Fee is  $125 members / $150 non-members.  Cape Cod students receive a $25 discount. For details and registration contact Jesse Mechling at 508-487-3623 x103.
