Join the Community Invesment Committee for a discussion on Assuming Leadership on the Toughest Issues.

Tom Nazario, attorney and author of Living on a Dollar a Day will be discussing his work on global poverty alleviation and how to take leadership on the toughest issues we face as a society.

Tom Nazario is the founder and president of The Forgotten International, a nonprofit organization that does poverty alleviation work in several parts of the world, as well as an attorney, child advocate, and law professor at the University of San Francisco School of Law. He frequently speaks on topics related to global poverty on national television and radio shows. His work has taken him across the world and introduced him to many grassroots organizations that work on alleviating poverty among the poorest of the poor.

In his talk, Tom will provide an overview of global poverty issues and what is currently being done to help alleviate poverty among some of the world’s poorest populations.  He will address questions such as:

What does it mean to live in extreme poverty, and what are the most common causes of poverty?

How do we approach working on some of the toughest issues facing our world today?

How can we take leadership on these issues and be part of the solution?

In addition to his talk, Tom’s book, Living on a Dollar a Day, will be available for purchase with a book signing after the Q & A.

Event is $35.
