Lethal Weapon:
Prosecuting the Vehicular Homicide

Make plans now to attend Lethal Weapon: Prosecuting the Vehicular Homicide.  This class will focus on prosecuting impaired drivers who cause crashes resulting in deaths.  Prosecutors attending this class will learn the basics of crash reconstruction, how to evaluate reconstruction reports from defense experts, how to identify and prove criminal negligence, and how to make a case with no or bad field sobriety tests.

It is no accident when a drunk driver kills someone in your community.  Lethal Weapon will give you the resources you need to most effectively prosecute these tragic cases.

When and Where:  This class will be held from September 17-19, 2014, at the Hotel Phillips located at 106 W. 12th Street in downtown Kansas City.

Cost:  There is NO registration fee for this class.  Lodging will be provided for those more than 50 miles from Kansas City (lodging on Tuesday, September 16, will also be provided for those located more than 100 miles from Kansas City).  Meals will be provided to include lunch on September 17-18 and breakfast on September 18-19.  Parking at the hotel will also be covered.  Participating offices will need to cover the cost of transportation to and from Kansas City as well as meals not provided.
