Intro to Motivational Interviewing Workshop

led by Michael Fulop

  • An Intro MI training workshop led by psychologist, Michael Fulop. You will learn MI basics via skills practice, observation, coaching, small group discussions, role playing, expert videos, and some didactics. You'll receive a learning guide, all slides, MI resource list, plus access to a free ongoing supervision group via webinar. 
  • Workshop is 2 days from 8:30-4:30 with 90 minutes for lunch on own.
  • Attendance & Continuing Education Certificate provided 

MI Intro Workshop Learning Objectives

  • Learn some underlying MI science
  • Learn how MI approaches improves client outcomes
  • Learn basic MI skills for client engagement clients, to enhance motivation
  • Improve your focusing skills to target your client’s change goals
  • Learn how to distinguish change talk from sustain talk
  • Learn when not to use MI

  • The World Forestry Center is MAX accessible.
