Target Audience
This course is designed for the public health provider, registered nurse, correctional staff, and other health care professionals who are tasked with the management of tuberculosis control.

Conference Goal
The goal of this training is to enhance the knowledge of TB prevention and control for health care staff dealing with challenges in caring for a patient diagnoses with TB in corrections.

Conference Objectives
Using interactive lectures participants will be able to:
identify methods for screening, discuss current recommendations for the management of active TB, Identify components of an effective infection control program, identify when a patient can be considered non infectious, describe the components of a contact investigation in a correctional setting, and identify proper procedure for release/transfer of inmates.

The format for this course will be lecturestyle presentations with a panel discussion. There will be ample time for questions and answers.
