- 1. Introduction To Starting Your Own Fashion Business

In this workshop you will learn how to define your target market, refine your vision and mission statement as well as explore various avenues to research the feasability of your business. Presenter: Eloisa Serrano from Bay Thread
Meet Eloisa Serrano, a Renaissance Graduate and local fashion manufacturer. Learn what to be aware of when choosing a manufacturer, and how to conduct business when getting your sketches or samples ready for production. Eloisa will teach you how to avoid big mistakes common designers make in their early stages, and tell you all about the process of apparel pattern making, grading and manufacturing.

In this workshop you will learn to to identify your unique selling point, set your clothing prices, create a break-even analyis and estimate research costs as well explore funding options. - 4. SFMade's Workshop / How to Manufacture Locally for Apparel and Sewn Products.
