Come out and join us for just 4 hours

and help brighten someone's day!

We will be painting the interior facilities for women afflicted with life altering challenges that have either displaced them from a home or prevented them from self-sufficiency. 

The Alpha Henson's Women's Center's mission: To faciliate the transformation of people with life-controlling problems, impacting families, and communities through the gospel of Jesus Christ. 

Join us in making a difference for these women and support them

as they take a step forward to living a positive changed life. 

Prep Day

WHEN: Friday, September 26, 2014

HOW MANY: 30 volunteers

TIME: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

DUTIES:

• Wipe down, sand, and some unhinging of over 82 doors 
• Rearrange any furniture or valuables to create a safe painting space
• Mask and tape the interior of 4 residential buildings with plastic, paper, and covers
• Set up registration table, painting stations, cleaning stations, and  snack and lunch station
• Put up signage materials in and outside the property
• Paint, if needed 
• Weed, clean and garden designated outside yard areas

Painting Day

WHEN: Saturday, September 27, 2014

HOW MANY: 50 volunteers

TIME: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 

DUTIES:

• Paint and trim over 82 doors and door frames for 4 residential buildings
• Paint ceilings, designated walls and cabinets 
• Paint Garage doors 
• Weed, clean and garden designated outside yard areas
