*East Potomac Park is located south of Independence Avenue and the Tidal Basin. The southern end of the park is known as Hains Point. The closest Metro station is the Smithsonian.
With over 11,000 students enrolled in specialized education in the District of Columbia, Advocates for Justice and Education Inc.'s efforts for parent and youth empowerment is imperative. At AJE we seek to empower parents to be effective advocates for their children and youth to have strong self-advocacy skills to succeed.
Join AJE on Saturday, September 20, 2014 as we celebrate our work and bring the community together. The 5K Walk and Roll benefits the empowerment of D.C. families who have children with special needs through community education, direct advocacy, peer to peer support, and training and information.
Check-in opens at 7:30 am, and the race begins at 8 am!
We will go forward "rain or shine."
Hope to see you there!
