NAATBatt is pleased to announce two new events for its members in Rochester, NY on September 10-11, 2014:

NY-BEST ENERGY STORAGE SUPPLY CHAIN AND MANUFACTURING CONFERENCE & EXPO  (on September 10)

NAATBatt is pleased to co-host with our friends at NY-BEST a conference discussing the development of the supply chain for advanced battery industry in New York and the United States.   Dr. Mark Johnson, Director of the Advanced Manufacturing Office, U.S. Department of Energy will deliver a keynote discussing the DOE's efforts to develop a domestic supply chain of materials, components and machinery that can service the growing demand for advanced battery technology in the U.S. economy.

NAATBATT NETWORKING DINNER AND MEMBERS SITE VISIT  TOUR OF THE BEST TESTING AND COMMERCIALIZATION CENTER  OPERATED BY DNV-GL (on September 10-11)

On the evening of Wednesday, September 10, NAATBatt will host a networking dinner for its members at Tony D's Restaurant in downtown Rochester.  The dinner will allow NAATBatt members to network and build business relationships with their colleagues in the industry, while sharing some of the best Italian food in downtown Rochester.  Building intra-industry business relationships is a core mission of NAATBatt.  As always, the networking dinner is free to NAATBatt members.*

On Thursday morning, September 11, NAATBatt members will be offered the opportunity to tour the BEST Testing and Commercialization Center operated by NAATBatt member DNV-GL.  The Center is located in the Eastman Business Park in Rochester.  The tour will begin at approximately 8:45 a.m. and take about two hours. Complimentary transportation will be provided from the Radisson Hotel Rochester Riverside to the Eastman Business Park, with buses departing the hotel at 8:30 a.m. and returning to the hotel at approximately 10:45 a.m. During the tour, NAATBatt members will have the opportunity to see one of the most extensive, government-supported battery testing and commercialization centers yet developed in the United States.  The Center is the result of a $23 million investment made by the State of New York to support the development of battery technology-related companies in its Finger Lakes region. The tour will be supplemented by short presentations by the Center's director and staff from DNV-GL.

ACCOMMODATIONS

NY-BEST has arranged for a discounted overnight room rate of $109 for conference attendees at the Radisson Rochester Riverside hotel on the evening of September 10, 2014.  To reserve your room, please call 585-546-6400 and ask for the NY-BEST room block rate no later than August 15, 2014. The hotel is offering a complimentary shuttle to and from the KODAK Center (the site of the Conference) on September 10.
