September Photoshop Series - Evening Sessions 

Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud is here! I would like to invite everyone to an exciting series of classes exploring the new features inside this latest release of Photoshop.  Photoshop CC packs of magnitude of new features aimed at the digital photographer. The special price for all three classes is only $225, individually each class is priced at $85.

The September Photoshop series meets 3 consecutive Thursday evenings from 6:00-9:00 PM. The dates are September 11,18, 25.

Session 1 – Photoshop Launchpad

This is the first workshop in the Photoshop for Photographers series. Learn the basics of editing digital images with Adobe Photoshop in this three-hour intensive workshop for beginning digital photographers. This workshop is a comprehensive introduction to Photoshop CS 6, and will cover the following topics:

•  The Photoshop interface, tools, and references.
•  Working with layers and understanding the dynamics of transparency.
•  Introduction to the Camera Raw conversion tool.
•  Introduction to plug-ins that enhance Photoshop.
•  Batch processing and creating files for e-mail and the Internet.
•  Introduction to Photoshop scripts for building panoramas, focus stacking, and HDR.

Session 2 - Selections and Layer Masks

In order to harness the power of Photoshop's advanced editing features, you need to learn the skills necessary for creating precise selections. and layer masks. This class gets you up to speed quickly through hands on projects demonstrating pro level selection techniques. You will learn how to create multi-layered files then resize, transform and alter individual layers. These topics will be covered.

• Understanding the automatic selection tools and improving their accuracy.
• Using the painting tools and quick mask for manual selections.
• Master CS6 most powerful selection tool, Refine Edge.
• Advanced masking techniques for realistic composites.

Session 3 - Adjustment Layers and Retouching

Adjustment layers are the heart and soul of a professional Photoshop workflow. This class will delve deep in the strategies for using adjustment layers in a nondestructive workflow. We'll cover common retouching problems for portrait, landscape, and editorial photography. This is the class that will launch your career as a Photoshop Jedi Knight.

•  Use the Content Aware Patch and Move tools.
