Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, America’s oldest technological university, will host a Startup Business Model Day on Saturday, November 1. The day-long event will serve as an opportunity to introduce the very popular lean startup methodology, an important and powerful tool that startups can use to reduce uncertainty in their business.
For the 2014-2015 academic year, several area colleges have partnered to offer a series of programs focused on startups. Participating schools include: Albany Law School, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Siena College, Skidmore, the University at Albany, and Hudson Valley Community College.
This is the second workshop in the series that is designed to help students, faculty, alumni/ae, the business community, and area colleges and universities find ways to connect and collaborate. The on-going series also provides individuals with an opportunity to network and learn how to build their innovations and companies with the Capital Region and beyond as a way to strengthen the area’s startup ecosystem.
