Online registration for Race for Rescues is now CLOSED, but you can still register in person at West on the morning of the race or at Tribout's on Saturday, October 4th from 9AM to 3PM.
Run, don't walk, to Belleville Area Humane Society's Race for Rescues!
You can race on your own or with your dog. We'll be holding a timed event for both humans and canines. The winners will recieve a shiny medal and bragging rights! Participants of all ages and physical capabilities welcome--we're even having a one mile fun run and kid's fun run this year!
Every registrant will recieve a t-shirt (or bandana for canines) and will be timed and eligible to win races. The top three in each age division will recieve medals. This year, long sleeve shirts will also be available for an extra $10.00. EDIT: Bandannas and long sleeve shirts now sold out. You can still register your dog to try for a trophy, but you do not have to pay and you will not recieve a bandanna. We apologize for any inconvienance.
Age group divisions are as follows:
Packets may be picked up at Tribout's, just a few minutes from the shelter, on Thursday, October 2nd from 11 AM to 5:30 PM or Saturday, October 4th from 9AM to 3PM. They're located at 517 South Illinois Street in Belleville.
All remaining packets will be available for pick-up after 7:30 AM on Sunday at Belleville West High School.
Come out for excercise and excitement to help raise money for shelter animals! We'll be showing off some of our adoptable buddies and selling other t-shirts so come even if you can't run.
