Danny Cortez - New Heart Community Church

Danny Cortez founded New Heart Community Church in 1997, a traditional Southern Baptist congregation in La Mirada, California.  After personally reconciling the scriptures on homosexuality in February 2014, Danny shared his new stance with his congregation and they recently made the decision to become a Third Way church, one that agrees to disagree on LGBT issues.  Because this transition occurred one week before the Southern Baptist Convention, Danny has received media attention and was recently invited by President Barak Obama to visit the White House.

Alan Chambers - Speak.  Love.

Alan served as the final president of Exodus International from 2001 to 2013 when he and his leaders closed the organization and began making great strides towards building relationships with the LGBT community and encouraging the global Church to do the same. With a goal to reduce fear, establish trust, and inspire hope on both sides for the sake of the Gospel, Alan and his wife, Leslie, spend their time being available to anyone who desires to talk. He has been featured on every major media outlet and has authored 2 books and just finished his 3rd with Leslie for Zondervan.

Rev. Dr. Ken Fong -Evergreen Baptist Church of L.A.

Ken spent the first half of his life in Northern Cal, growing up in Sacramento and graduating with a biological science degree from Cal Berkeley (’76). But since 1979, when he moved to LA to finish his seminary education at Fuller Theological Seminary, God’s Spirit has grown Ken into a wise, innovative, and courageous pastor of a noteworthy English-only, multi-Asian American, multi-ethnic, multi-generational church.  A documentary film crew has been following him since he gave a workshop at Urbana 2012 on homosexuality, creating The Ken Fong Project.  Throughout 2013 to the present Ken has led Evergreen Baptist Church of LA (Rosemead, CA) to be a safer place for Christians who identify as LGBTQ.  He also is now the executive director of Fuller’s new Asian American Initiative and the assistant professor of Asian American church studies.

David VanCronkhite - Agape Transformation

David VanCronkhite enjoys life and ministry in various capacities as he focuses on the Agape Transformation, Waffles and Grace, and FireCreek Mountain.  David's desire is for each person to learn to fearlessly tell his or her unique story so that the world will witness and experience the awe, mystery and wonder of God's love.  After years of ministry with his wife, Janice, at the Vineyard Downtown Atlanta and the Blood n Fire Ministries, David went through a period of "creative reconstruction" and was introduced to the simplicity of a message of agape love.  Today, David's motto is:  "If the kingdom of God is anything- and it is everything- it is relational, supernaturally relational and established on a foundation of love."

Ed Salas - Newsong Church, Irvine, CA

Ed Salas is a native of Los Angeles who now lives Orange County.  The most influential person in Ed’s life was his Dad; an immigrant from Mexico who taught Ed from an early age to work hard and to cherish this country.

After college Ed went into outside sales for the next 14 years which suited him well since he likes to talk a lot and would die if he had to be chained to a desk all day.  While still working at Motorola, Ed pursued a degree in theology at Fuller Seminary.  For the last 21 years Ed has served God vocationally and has served at Newsong Church in Irvine for the past 7 years where he is the Pastor of Human Development.

Ed’s passions in life include listening to jazz, camping at Big Sur, reading a good book, going to the movies and eating ethnic foods; he never met a calorie that he didn’t like!  Ed has been married to his wife Ginny for 29 years; they have three amazing sons and a beautiful daughter-in-law.
