EXPORT UNIVERSITY
Recent Amendments to Mexican Customs Legislation and the Impact on U.S. Exporters Luncheon
(A Special Export University Educational Outreach Event)
Presented by the Houston District Export Council
Session Synopsis
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with DEC members and other international trade professionals and learn about the regulatory changes to Mexican Customs Legislation.
North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) rules of origin and certificates impact potential preferential tariff treatment when your goods are imported into Mexico. Properly interpreting these regulations, including Article 303, which specifically applies to IMMEX (maquilas), and also understanding recent Customs Legislation changes is critical to the successful sale and export of goods to Mexico.
Do not miss this unique opportunity to learn what "due diligence" means concerning the Mexican Customs NAFTA audits and interpretation of article 303. Also, you will learn about the latest Mexican Customs Legislation and how it may impact cross-border trade.
