Financial Peace University 

Aldersgate is excited to offer a nine-week class from Financial Peace University that will guide members of the Aldersgate community toward financial stability, and teach them how to handle money God’s ways – since his ways work! 

Financial Peace University is based on more than 800 verses of Scripture and is a proven plan that will work for you.  More than 1.5 million families and individuals have taken FPU.  The average family completing the course pays off $5,300in debt and saves $2,700 in just 90 days.  That’s an $8,000 change in position!

A preview of the course will be offered for free on Sunday, September 7, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., in the Library (room 132) at the church.

The class will be taught by Aldersgate member Reed Berry and will be held on Sunday evenings from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. with childcare provided, if needed. The course will begin on September 28 and end on November 23. When you register, you can pay with a credit or debit card or indicate that you will mail or pay in person with a check. Registration deadline is September 11, so we can order and receive materials in time for the first class. 

If you have taken the FPU class before, you can attend this class at no charge. Just register on this site and bring your workbook with your membership sticker in it with you to the first session. You can attend any or all of the sessions - we just want to make sure we know you are coming so we have adequate seating.

The founder of Financial Peace University, Dave Ramsey, who is also an author and radio host, dispenses advice on personal finance “with the fervor of a country preacher and the common sense of Ann Landers.”  He colorfully pounds home his core mandate – eliminate debt – with a tried-and-true, step-by-step program to achieve fiscal fitness.  Ramsey started in 1992 with the book Financial Peace, and since then has added two more best-selling books to his résumé: More Than Enough and The Total Money Makeover.  He continues to host the weekly Dave Ramsey Show on radio.
