Injuries can happen. People get hurt, sick, or lost. The temperature drops, the wind picks up, and it starts to rain. Would you know what to do? Many backcountry emergencies are preventable, and even when bad things happen, sometimes the wrong care can make things worse. By learning a few basic skills, you can make the difference between a good outcome and a bad one-and maybe even save a life.
The WFA is the perfect course for the outdoor enthusiast who wants a basic level of first aid training for short trips with family, friends, and outdoor groups. CPR training and certification are included in this course. Students who successfully complete this three day program will receive national certifications in Wilderness First Aid and CPR/AED Training.
Please Note: NAOI requires a 50% deposit on all Wilderness Medical Courses at the time of registration, with the balance due thirty days before start of class. If you register for this course after September 29, 2014, tuition will be due in full at time of registration.
