Paradox Sports and Catalyst Sports: Rocktoberfest!

Paradox Sports and Catalyst Sports are teaming up to host an adaptive climbing event at Red River Gorge, Kentucky in conjunction with Rocktoberfest, an incredible festival held by the Red River Gorge Climbers’ Coalition. Climbing guides, instruction, meals and lodging are all included in a low registration fee. Variety of experience levels, abilities and ages welcome! We are also including a discount rate for friends or family members!

Cabins spaces are now full! Camping is available in two event areas and we can recommend other cabin options as well. Please contact us for details.

Event Itinerary:

Saturday 10/11/14 - Full Day Adaptive Climbing Clinic at Torrent Falls
Climbing and instruction starts at 9am and wraps up at 3pm. Lunch provided! Options to return to cabin for dinner (provided by us!) or head over to the Rocktoberfest (http://rrgcc.org/rocktoberfest/) event to enjoy vendor booths, games, slideshow and more. Limited space available in cabins – register early! Camping also available.

Sunday 10/12/14 - Half day Adaptive Climbing Clinic at Torrent Falls or another local crag such as the Roadside Crag.  
Breakfast provided.
Climbing and instruction 9am - 11:30am then departure or stay for more climbing (unstructured group - not a clinic) afterwards.

Some climbing equipment and personal camping equipment can be provided to lend as needed. Please let us know ASAP. All routes set and specialty gear and ropes provided by Paradox Sports and Catalyst Sports. We encourage climbers to bring their own personal gear if possible (harness, rock climbing shoes, helmet). Some adaptive gear will also be available for use. Please describe your adaptive needs as detailed as possible in registration so we can be prepared.

Climbing instruction and belaying provided for top rope. We will go over the basics of adaptive climbing and how to move well over stone tailored for various physical disabilities. All experience levels are welcome; the private cliff we are using has climbs rated from 5.8 to 12c.
