About the Scholarship
The $3,000 Juli McDaniel Scholarship award is the largest scholarship available to St Anthony seniors. Each year, the McDaniel family accepts and evaluates applications for this popular and valuable award. From those applications, they select a single recipient. The winner is announced at the annual award ceremony at St Anthony Village High School.
We are working hard to make this scholarship an ongoing legacy in Juli's name. We hope you will help us to achieve that goal.
2014 Winner: Molly Jansen
Molly is a graduating senior and will use the $3000 scholarship to pursue a high paced
Masters degree in International Relations at the University of Edinburgh in
Scotland. Molly excelled in many areas while at SAVHS, including academics,
graduating with a 3.9 + GPA. She was also a member of the Patriot’s
Marching Band for five years including being the Drum Major as a senior.
Molly began to pursue her international interests at an early age by being a
team leader in the World Savvy Challenge and traveling to Bangladesh to study
climate change with the American Youth Leadership Program. The
scholarship committee congratulates Molly Jansen and wishes her great success
at the University of Edinburgh.

About Juli
Juli grew up in St. Anthony and attended St. Anthony High School. She started with the class of '76, but was anxious to move on. So she graduated a year early at age 16. She went on to earn a bachelor degree from Metro State University and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern. In pursuing her career, she lived in Kansas City, Manhattan Beach & Chicago. She left the corporate world to focus on her passions: family, friends, music & travel. Some of her favorite destinations included Italy, Australia, Ireland, Africa and Hawaii. Juli was diagnosed with cancer in 2004 and passed away in 2009. Juli's friends and classmates initiated the idea for the Juli McDaniel Memorial Scholarship at St. Anthony High School.
