Reaching Resiliency

Join us for an important event focused on preparing your community for the next climate event.  Chris Badurek of the NJ Resiliency Network will share how to prepare your town,  to help your community through the process, while earning Sustainable Jersey certification points through resiliency planning.

New Sustainable Jersey actions related to this topic will be highlighted!  You'll also have the opportunity to tour ACCC's newly renovated "Greener" Hospitality Wing.

PROGRAM:

6:00pm - Snacks & Networking

6:30pm - Reaching Resiliency  (Chris Badurek, South Jersey's Resiliency Manager, the NJ Resiliency Network) 

  • How resiliency planning can impact your town's future
  • Review of technical tools & financial resources available to assist your town
  •  Demonstration of NJFloodMapper and Getting To Resilience tool, which asses your town's vulnerabilities and risks in the areas of infrastructure, emergency communication & public outreach, hazard mitigation, floodplain management and more
  • Successful examples from other towns
