On Thursday evenings this October, join the Virginia Center for Architecture and discover the secrets of Richmond’s Fan District. This four-part series uncovers the history of the celebrated district, provides an overview of the architectural styles, and reveals some of the Fan District’s origins.  Series Tickets are $70; $60 for members

Hidden in Plain Sight: Fan Styles, the Free Style, and the Impact of H. H. Richardson :: Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 :: 7–9 p.m.
In this first lecture of the Hidden in Plain Sight series, Dr. Charles Brownell and Ray Bonis celebrate adventuresome nineteenth-century architectural styles in the Fan, culminating in the inspiration of the great H. H. Richardson.
