2015 Natural Capital Symposium

 March 23-25

Stanford University

Hosted by the Natural Capital Project (NatCap) at Stanford University, this symposium features an introductory InVEST training, hands-on InVEST workshops, and a series of sessions on engaging with decision-makers and stakeholders to present analyses and policy advice.

The Natural Capital Symposium takes the place of our previous Annual Meetings & Trainings, and is designed to foster and support our community of practice as we all take on the work of bringing ecosystem services into policy and decision making. We are producing multiple tracks to take through our inaugural Symposium, focusing on our approach, our tools, and the challenges ecosystem services practitioners face in engaging with decision-makers, stakeholders, and the public at large.

Featured Tracks:

InVEST Training @ The Natural Capital Symposium, a 3-day course in the NatCap Approach and our primary software tool, InVEST, for those who have limited to no prior experience with our approach and tools.

InVEST LeX @ The Natural Capital Symposium, running throughout the Symposium, offering a variety of opportunities to work in small focus groups with NatCappers as well as practitioners from other organizations, including model-specific small group workshops, poster sessions, poster review panels, panel discussions, and more!
