Begin to Knit with Charlotte 9/8/2014 changed to 9/15/14

Encore Basic Hat If you've ever wanted to learn to knit, then it's your lucky day! Cowgirl Yarn is offering a wonderful beginner's class starting on September 8 and continuing for a total of 4 sessions (all starting at 5:30 pm and ending at 7:00 pm) that will teach you how to knit, purl, cast-on, bind-off, and make a hat. This is a true beginner's class for those that have never touched needles in their lives.

As with previous Begin To Knit Classes, you'll learn how to make a dishcloth and a basic beanie hat. These two projects, although they seem daunting, are the perfect introduction projects to start your knitting career. The dishcloth allows you a chance to perfect your knitting before moving onto the hat, while the hat teaches you how to knit in the round, decrease stitches, and purl.

The class is $60 and includes the price of patterns. Class supplies are 10% off.

Please be sure to come in before the start of class to avoid any delays on the first day of class.

Supply List: Worsted Weight Cotton, 16" #7 needles, #7 DPNs, darning needle, stitch markers, and 150+ yards of Worsted Weight Yarn.

In the event of any inclement weather or lack of interest, we reserve the right to cancel class. Unless otherwise stated, each class must have at least four (4) registrants for class to be held. All registrants must be over the age of 16 by the first day of class. We understand that life can change at any moment, and the need to cancel your registration may arise. If you must cancel a class, we require at least 24 hours notice before the start of class. In case of inclement weather, we may have to reschedule or cancel a class. In cases where Cowgirl Yarn cancels the class, you will receive a phone call and or email, as well as a full refund of your class fee. Should you be absent from class, and if the missed material cannot be made up in under 15 minutes, you will need to schedule a Private Lesson outside of class time to get caught up. Private Lessons run $20/hour and will need to be scheduled with enough time to catch up on the homework for the next class.
