 Dahlia Devolved & Reassembled

Participating artists were: Henry Raming, Darlene Engellenner, Terri Goodman, Diane Bell, Pat Lucas, Pam Wilkinson, Debra Hosler, Sandy Delong, Nanci Lee Woody, Charlie Iveson, Jeanne Schmidt, Foxey McCleary, B.K. England, Kathy Randall and Tommie Moller

What is collaborative artwork?  At a regular monthly meeting, each of our PAL members received a small color photograph that represented one piece of the whole image, which had been divided into sixteen sections.  None of the participating artists knew what the cut-up image represented.  They could only see their own piece of the puzzle.

New Leaf, New Life

Participating artists were: Henry Raming, Terri Goodman, Diane Bell, Pat Lucas,  Debra Hosler, Craig Johnson, Diane Friedberg,  Nanci Lee Woody, Jeanne Schmidt, Foxey McCleary,  Charlie Iveson, Dannette Roberts, Kirsten England, Pat Cushman and Vivienne Monroe

Each artist was given an 8"x10" canvas board and acrylic paints to create their own rendering of that piece of the puzzle.  The acrylic paint colors were very basic, so after drawing a sketch on the canvas, color mixing was necessary for each person to accurately reproduce the colors and shapes on his or her puzzle piece.

After the paintings were dry, members worked together to figure out where each piece fit to create the finished collaborative collage.
