Come prepared to hear from administrative, legislative and field experts about Governor Brown's 2015-16 budget proposals, impacts, opportunities and challenges.

Come hear from the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Legislative Women's Caucus. Last year, the Women's Caucus put forward a proactive proposal to restore and rebuild our system.  This year we again are a high priority.  This is the group that 
outlined their budget priorities, and underscored the need for a budget that prioritizes the needs of working women and parents and the education of young children as a critical first step to closing the achievement gap.  

We will also hear from ASM Kevin McCarty, a newly elected Assemblymember who has introduced AB 47, which is a follow up to SB 837 (Steinberg).
