WDKX Women for Women: Workshops for TEENpreneurs

Workshops are based around the concept of

Session 1:  10a-11a

  •       Finance with Ms. Olivia West

Program Description: This financial workshop is for teens, tweens and in betweens who want to learn about how to become good money managers and possibly even own their own business one day!  Come learn how you can start where you are, with what you have, and become a millionaire-in- the -making all before your 18th birthday!
This workshop will introduce several key financial topics, including saving early and often, the importance of having good credit as a business owner, and wise consumer spending.  We provide a fun and highly interactive environment conducive to learning and retaining the presented concepts.   The goal of the workshop is to empower students with the information necessary to be successful money managers who will strive to live a debt-free lifestyle and build wealth.

  •      Marketing and Website Developement with Phu Concepts

Program Description: What’s the difference between a thousand dollar company and a multi-million dollar company in the same industry? One values having a successful and on-going marketing strategy. When it comes to marketing, first impressions are everything. Building a solid impression starts by having a strong Internet presence. This has become a main source of credibility for consumers seeking out new and existing businesses. Learn how to effectively market your business online through current and traditional industry strategies.

  • Business Education - Adventures of Youth Entrepreneurship- BIZ KID$
Facilitators: Chad Rieflin and Jeffrey Reese – BIZ KID$

Program Description: This presentation is about the City Bureau of Recreation’s Biz Kid$ program. Biz Kid$ provides interactive, applied business and entrepreneurial education for youth ages 10-18. Through camps and workshops, participants learn about business topics such as time management, operating legally, sales forecasting, marketing, networking, public speaking, and goal setting. By incorporating fun games, group exercises, and friendly competition, participants gain hands-on experiences that reflect entrepreneurship principles. In this workshop you will learn everything the program has to offer and how Biz Kid$ can put you on track for your entrepreneurial career.
