Join us for wine and light appetizers while you listen to these extraordinary individuals share their remarkable personal stories. 
The 2014- 15 Series: 

September 24: Mark Retzloff

Pioneer in the natural foods movement.  Founder of Alfalfa's, Horizon Organic Dairy and Aurora Organic Dairy.

October 15: Virginia Patterson

Longtime Boulder entrepreneur and civic leader.  She was crowned Miss CU in 1946 and was the Mademoiselle college issue guest editor-in-chief in August 1946.

November 12: Micklina Peter Kenyi

Lost Girl of Sudan and Executive Director of the Community of South Sudanese and American Women.

December 10: Peter Dietze

Fled from East Germany as a teenager.  He settled in Boulder and became a lawyer.  He was Boulder's attorney from 1965 -1968 and served as a Regent of the University of Colorado for 18 years.

January 14: Jamie Korngold

Known as "The Adventure Rabbi", her spiritual work combined with the outdoors has been featured in the New York Times, NPR and Good Morning America, among others.  She is the author of God in the Wilderness.

February 18: Dorothy Rupert

Teacher, state legislator and humanitarian.  The Colorado Criminal Justice Reform Coalition's Rupert-Tate Game Changer Award is named for her.

March 4: Marvin Caruthers

Distinguished Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Colorado and a pioneer in the biotechnology field.  One of the co-founders of Amgen and Applied Biosystems, he is also a Guggenheim Fellow.

April 14: Ken Wright
Founder of Wright Water Engineers, Inc.  Directed paleohydrologic research at Mesa Verde National Park and at the Peruvian archeological site of Machu Picchu.
