Since its inception, SKJAJA Fund has funded nearly 300 students and granted approximately $42,000 to local school children. Some of the activities SKJAJA has funded: summer camp, private music lessons, tutoring, uniform fees, school & international field trips, recreational sports, and after school activities.

In return for the funding they received, the recipients have given hundreds of hours in community service: walking neighbors’ dog, working in school garden, volunteering at local charities, tutoring other students, creating food & book drives, the list goes on and on. Not only have the students benefitted – the Chapel Hill-Carrboro community has as well. This event helps support these projects.
