Evening Lectures are live events that take place once a month at The Spiral Foundation / OTA The Koomar Center in Newton, Massachusetts. They are one and half hour presentations geared towards parents, education professionals, and therapists. Evening Lectures are not recorded.

This evening lecture will provide an open discussion of how children with sensory processing issues can present with emotional and behavioral challenges in multiple environments.  We will relate how our sensory systems influence our state of arousal and our emotional response to various daily challenges.  It will offer suggestions of how a rich sensory diet can help children who are challenged by their sensory systems and provide families with strategies to assist their child in multiple settings.

By the end of this course participants will be able to:

  1. Identify daily sensory strategies that help to keep our bodies regulated.
