September Joint Luncheon with ACEC

San Diego State University Capital Improvement Plans 

San Diego State University (SDSU) has been continuously upgrading the existing campus in San Diego.  One of the most recent upgrades is a new Student Union.  The recent capital improvements and the proposed upcoming capital improvements program will be presented.

San Diego State University

 Mr. Schulz is responsible for real estate, planning, design and construction, student housing, and sustainability initiatives for the university. He most recently oversaw the design and construction of the LEED Platinum Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.

Mr. Schulz  brings to his position over 30 years experience in design and construction, and project oversight on more than $1.5 billion of public facilities.

Previously, Mr. Schulz was the Associate Vice President of Facilities Management at Humboldt State University. Using a then unique Design-Build process, he built the first state funded LEED Gold building in the 23 campus CSU system.

Prior to moving to higher education, he was in private practice in architecture and worked in the construction industry. He is a licensed architect and a senior building official in California.

PAYMENT: Cash, check or credit card (a $3 fee will be added for credit card processing).  Parking will be validated. Checks made payable to ASCE.  You may mail your check in advance to PO Box 1028, El Cajon, CA  92022.

MENU:  Mediterranean chicken - grilled chicken breast breast with sundried tomatoes, kalamata olives, artichoke hearts and asparagus, served with roasted red potatoes and market vegetables, house salad, dessert, tea and coffee service. Vegetarian plate is available but must be requested by September 18th
