Manure Management Manual Training Event in Columbia County

PACD is sponsoring a Manure Manual Train-theTrainer Event at the Columbia County Conservation District Office, 702 Sawmill Road, Suite 204, Bloomsburg, Pa 17815 on October 31, 2014.

This workshop is for new Conservation District, DEP and Penn State Extension staff and for anyone who wants a refresher from when the same training was held during the 2011-12 winter season or fall 2013.  Participants will leave with a good understanding of the Manure Management Manual and the ability to train others on how to use the manual.  The ultimate goal is to be able to provide assistance and information to agricultural operators that helps them meet compliance with Manure Management Manual requirements. 

The training is free and includes a light breakfast and lunch.  Sign-in starts at 8:30 AM; with training from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM.

Financial support for this project is provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection through the Chesapeake Bay Implementation Grant and the Clean Water Fund.
