Telepsychology Best Practices Webinar

Oct 6th, 2014

12:00PM - 2:00PM

We are delighted to invite you to register for the Telepsychology Best Practices Webinar, being presented by Dr. Marlene Maheu, Ph.D. She will be presenting:

"Telepsychology Best Practices"

This two-hour webinar will help attendees comply with best practices as addressed in recent telepractice guidelines, such as those promulgated by the American Psychological Association and American Telemedicine Association. Special emphasis will be given to underlying legal, ethical and clinical requirements for delivering telepsychological services via video teleconferencing.

Topics will include the supporting research for telepsychology and its limitations; risks and benefits; practitioner competencies; client selection; intake and assessment procedures and limitations; licensing; informed consent and other suggested documentation; relevant security and privacy laws; client/patient education; community engagement, emergency planning and intervention for both traditional telepsychology models and the newer, higher-risk service to the home.

Evidence-based models for successful practice will be reviewed to inspire the participant to consider safe interventions and their commonalities. Reasonable solutions to the many risks involved technology-based interventions will be summarized.

**receive a discount when you register for both webinars (Oct 6th and Nov 18th). A discount code for the second session will be provided in your confirmation email**
